Bringing Healthy Nutrition Home

Healthy eating for today’s busy family can be quite a challenge. A typical day in the life of any family can be hectic — balancing kids’ schoolwork and activities with parents’ work schedules – not to mention individual preferences at the meal table. With all of these competing demands, who has the time to think about making nutritious and healthy meals?

Parents want to do what is best for their families, but often find themselves stretched to the limit with everything they have to accomplish in a day. And for so many, meal planning for health and nutrition feels like a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be. With so many great options available and greater awareness of the importance of healthy eating, families can meet these challenges with some education and guidance.

At Scholle Family Nutrition we recognize these very real challenges and are here to provide guidance to assist you in achieving your family’s unique nutrition goals. Whether the goal is weight loss, healthier eating or just knowledge of good nutrition to make the best choices for your family, we can help.

Research shows that involving the whole family in focusing on healthy eating, results in the most successful outcomes. With guidance from our registered dietitians you can provide your family with personalized tools and tips to accomplish your healthy eating and lifestyle goals.

Our Expertise in Family Nutrition

We have the expertise to help every family member from infancy through adulthood and beyond. Below are some of the areas in which we provide guidance and support.

Infant/Toddler Nutrition

Infants and toddlers have very specific nutrition needs. And with little ones in the house, parents are often overwhelmed and sleep-deprived. With these important goals in mind, we provide the following specific services:

  • Normal Nutrition
  • Weaning from Breast Milk or Formula
  • Premature Infant Nutrition
  • Picky eaters
  • Failure to Thrive
  • Feeding Issues
  • Introducing Solid Foods

Childhood Nutrition and Health

School-age kids begin to be influenced by what is in the lunch boxes of their friends at school. But that might not always be healthy. Parents want their kids to be as alert as possible at school and as active as they want to be. We will help with a wide variety of support and information on nutrition for school-age kids:

  • Normal Nutrition
  • Healthy Breakfast
  • Weight Gain
  • Healthy Snacking
  • Weight Loss/Obesity
  • Type I and II Diabetes

Adolescent Nutrition and Health

Good nutrition can fall off quickly in the teen years, as schedules become as hectic as ever and teens have access to driving and fast foods. And peer pressure might not always be the best guide for health and great food choices. We will help you learn the key factors and concerns for teens so you can help them understand why good nutrition is so important at this phase of their lives, including:

  • Normal Nutrition
  • Weight Loss/Obesity
  • Weight Gain
  • Healthy Snacking
  • Type I and II Diabetes
  • Healthy Fast Food Choices

Special Diets

Today, many individual family members have varying needs due to particular sensitivities or preferences. Adherence to special diets without proper education could result in deficiencies of key nutrients that could lead to less than optimal nutrition. We can help with these challenges so that special diets are integrated into the family table:

  • Gluten Free
  • Food Intolerances and/or Allergies
  • Celiac Disease
  • Vegan/Vegetarian

Family Nutrition

We will help you make good nutrition fun and easy with greater knowledge about what foods to bring home, how to plan and prepare meals and many other important factors that make a family’s eating habits become lifelong healthy habits:

  • Meal Planning
  • Grocery Store Tours
  • Pantry Purge
  • 3-Day Diet Nutrient Analysis
  • Food Safety
  • Recipe Analysis and Revamp
